My Who

Attending 15 different schools across the US as a child, I developed a rule that helped me thrive: make one friend by lunch time. School cafeterias are terrifying places and the social hierarchies are ruthless.

Always the “new girl,” I learned how to quickly assess cultural norms, research new topics obsessively, and study people and patterns acutely. Today, I use those innate skills as a Communications Strategist who truly sees you, your potential, and the opportunities ahead of you.

My journalism career started at a tri-weekly newspaper before I even graduated from Pfeiffer University, and evolved beyond my wildest dreams consider I was a teen mom. My 27-year career has spanned a variety of public-facing storytelling roles including a TV reporter and anchor, entrepreneur, nonprofit founder, communications strategist, producer, and TV production professional for global thought leaders, international and national news outlets, corporations, and nonprofits. Along the way, I have always dedicated my skills to uplifting experts and entrepreneurs ~ especially women.

My TEDx Talk, “Lead with your Who,” is a fundamental part of my mission to remind people that Who they are is special, needed, and important. Going Off Camera is the intensive, exploratory work women need in a safe, laboratory-style environment where they can journey from who they were to who they know they’re meant to be. In a culture of constant visibility, I work to offer women a necessary and guided break from performing in order to examine and reclaim their identities.

When you emerge from our work together, you are confident, clear, and armed with strategy to rise to the next level because You are the Best Person to Tell Your Story.

“It’s never too late
to be what you might have been.”
