Crowned Mrs. North Carolina, Nichelle Sublett wanted to leverage her year-long title as a platform for her mission to educate and speak about fertility issues, miscarriage, and stigma, particularly in the Black community.
Since Nichelle’s work started in 2017, #StartAsking has come to be a hashtag synonymous with fertility health. With the work of Sunshine Media Network, Nichelle secured countless media interviews online, in print, and on television. She’s been trusted as a brand spokesperson for companies such as KIND bars and Ferring Pharmaceuticals. Her greatest #StartAsking accomplishment to date has been presenting for TEDxChapelHill and having that talk accepted to the TED platform. Sunshine Media Network helped Nichelle write, organize, design, and practice the presentation, which had rigorous TED Talk requirements.
